The S$20,000 sponsorship contribution will be directed to Singapore’s up and coming Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete who is set to compete in the World IBJJ Jiu-Jitsu 2023 Championship in Long Beach, California
Leading provider of financial services in Singapore, Singapura Finance, announces its sponsorship and endorsement of 16-year-old Jedd Tan, one of Singapore’s most promising Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes, as he is set to compete in the upcoming World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu 2023 Championship in Long Beach, California in May.
Following his recent victory at the Singapore Jiu Jitsu Open 2023 by BJJ Roots over the weekend, the sponsorship was formalised through a cheque presentation ceremony that was held at The Social Space on 7 March 2023. As part of the sponsorship, Singapura Finance will be providing support for Jedd’s training and competitions, along with additional cash rewards of S$2,500 for each future competition victories as well as S$5,000 for doing well in his school examination.

As a champion with multiple wins under his belt, Jedd received his Blue Belt at the age of 16, and emerged as the youngest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion of 2022 after winning his first adult competition at the Singapore BJJ open 2022.
Expressing his gratitude for the sponsorship, Jedd Tan said, “Jiu-Jitsu is more than just a passion for me. To be able to represent Singapore at the World IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu 2023 Championship is an honour and my ultimate goal is to make Singapore proud.
