The Show Master Ushers In An Enchanting Year of Rabbit at Bay Spring Carnival

Continuing their impressive feat from The Great Bay Fiesta,  The Show Master transformed the Bayfront Event Space into yet another festive hot spot with  Bay Spring Carnival for you and your loved ones to celebrate this coming Lunar New Year.  

Presented by its official ticketing partner Trip.com, The Show Master invites you to this  rejuvenated festive playground with an enchanting Cherry Blossom Garden blooming with fairy  lights and complemented by illuminated inflatables to usher in the Year of the Rabbit.  

Bay Spring Carnival is also set to be one of the largest carnivals this Lunar New Year, with  over 30 Uncle Ringo carnival rides and games, in addition to Ice Magic: The Great Fantasy  On Ice, and scrumptious fairground treats that will leave you craving for more.  

Happening daily from 13 January to 29 January 2023, the Bay Spring Carnival opens its  doors from 4 PM to 10 PM on weekdays and 1 PM to 10.30 PM on weekends. On Chinese  New Year’s Eve, Day 1 and Day 2 (Chu-yi and Chu-er), play to your heart’s content with the  carnival’s extended hours from 1 PM to 1 AM.

Cherry Blossom Garden

Symbolizing a renewal of life, immerse yourself in the refreshed beauty of the carnival  wonderland as the cherry blossom garden provides the perfect picturesque setting for visitors  to capture their memories and appreciate the beauty of nature. A white carousel is also  strategically located in the garden, adding its own rustic charm to the vibrant space. As the  night falls, get ready to be swept off your feet as you witness the magical light-up of the garden  every evening. 

Enjoy the thrills of the carnival with its latest additions such as the Meteorite — Uncle Ringo’s  signature ride that will satisfy the adrenaline rush that thrillseekers crave. Younger carnival goers can look forward to a great time on the balloon Samba and Red Swing.

Ice Magic: The Great Fantasy on Ice

Extended till 29 January 2023, this is your final chance to experience this magical snowy  wonderland if you have yet to get the chance to do so! Featuring its iconic 4.5m high figure-8  Ice Slide constructed purely out of ice and complemented by intricate ice sculptures. 

For those interested in skiing and snowboarding, try your hand at these well-loved winter  activities with classes available for first-timers. Head down to the attraction for a one-day  getaway during the weekends and get back to work more energised than ever! 

Performances

With daily performances scheduled, catch these rising local talents – Jeff Ng, Jason Yu, and  veteran guzheng artist, Neo Sek Koon – at the Bay Spring Carnival! Needless to mention, Jeff  and Jason will be sure to wow the audience with their heavenly vocals as they perform their  rendition of recognisable English pop and Mandopop tunes. Diversifying its lineup specially  for 2023’s Lunar New Year celebrations, immerse yourself in a harmonious string ensemble  featuring harp, violin, gu zheng, and erhu performances! 

Finally after years of virtual celebrations, join The Show Master and revel in the boisterous  Lunar New Year festivities live and in the flesh with lion dance performances at 6 PM on  selected dates – 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29 January. 

On Lunar New Year Eve, the fun extends till midnight, so pop by the Bay Spring Carnival for  your post-reunion dinner activities from 8pm onwards for a line up of exciting live performances  such as the customary lion dance performances to keep the whole family entertained as we  welcome the year of the rabbit!

There’s no way you can leave a carnival without indulging yourself in mouthwatering festive  treats! Among the six curated food vendors at Bay Spring Carnival, seafood enthusiasts will  be ecstatic to find their seafood fix at Kin Hoi’s booth! From their signature spicy chilli half shelled cockles to gong gong and tiger clams, the fresh seafood tossed in their uniquely  blended spices will leave you salivating for more.  

Besides Kin Hoi, Karubi also whipped up a storm of scrumptious donburis, with the crowds’ favourite being the Wagyu Beef Bowl. Filled with generous portions of perfectly flame-grilled  Wagyu beef cuts, top off your donburi with a creamy truffle sauce or an umami-rich mentaiko  sauce that will enhance the flavour of the fatty, premium beef cuts. 

Retail booths fronted by recognised brands – White Rabbit, Magnum and Ben and Jerry’s – are sure to satiate your sweet tooth and mark a sweet start to your new year!
