This year’s Apple event mainly focused on iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watches. With the headline for this year once again being the latest model of the highly coveted iPhone.
The newest model iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 plus comes with improvements such as
- Improved battery life
- True -tone OLED display
- Five colours including a new light blue
- Better low-light performance on the front-facing camera
- Safety service called Emergency SOS via Satellite
- Action Mode that stabilizes video
- Ceramic screens that are more durable
For those who are looking forward to the higher-end models for this year, they announced the new Phone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. These models have a ton of new features including:
- An always-on display which doesn’t turn off when it’s not in use.
- It uses Apple’s latest A16 Bionic chip, which Apple says was built on a 4-nanometer process.
- Apple also introduced a new low-power mode to make the battery life last longer.
- A 48-megapixel camera thanks to a bigger sensor.
- Better low-light photography.
- Redesigned flash.
Another product that was announced by Apple is a new model of the AirPod’s Pro. They improved the noise-cancellation, the battery life, and a new touch control to adjust volume.
Another cool feature for the new generation of the AirPod Pro is the personalized spatial audio which is like their competitor’s “Analyse Ear Shape” feature on Sony’s WF-1000XM true wireless earbuds.
Finally, Apple announced their new line of Apple Watches which started off with the Apple Watch Ultra. This watch is targeted specifically towards outdoor athletes as some of the watches significant features is to be able to survive in rugged conditions with a longer battery life than normal watches.
In the Apple Watch Ultra promotional video, Apple COO Jeff Williams said, “Every detail has been engineered to create the most rugged and capable Apple Watch ever.”
For those aiming for an Apple Watch less costly do no fret as the improved Apple Watch SE will be released. It is cheaper than the classic Apple Watch yet has the same features with a bigger screen, heart rate notifications and able to detect falls.
To top it all off, Apple Watch series 8 is a more refined version than previous models and has a new temperature sensor that can be used to help monitor health data better.
There is also an impressive new emergency feature where it can detect whether you have been in a severe car crash and automatically call emergency services. This is possible with the watches newly added motion sensors.
Apple has always been one of the most popular phone brands in the world, and this event has gotten the public excited about the future of Apple. Many Apple customers are loyal to their products and will be looking forward to some potential upgrades from this event.
