Mario Strikers: Battle League – June 10

Players will control nine characters as they seek to survive the night at the titular Hacket Quarry summer camp, where they will be pursued by mad locals dripping in blood and even something far more terrible.
The plot of the game is entirely branching, with players’ choices determining the fate of the characters and their relationships. Each character can die in a variety of ways, affecting the length of The Quarry. For example, the premature death of some characters can reduce playtime to approximately 7 hours, whereas the average is expected to be around 10 hours. All gameplay aspects will have customizable difficulty settings, as well as a completely new option to enjoy the game like a movie, reducing the number of inputs required.

AI: The Somnium Files [Nirvana Initiative] – June 24

Nirvana Initiative is directed by Akira Okada, written by Kotaro Uchikoshi, and produced by Spike Chunsoft. It is the sequel to Akira Okada’s AI: The Somnium Files. On June 24th, it will be launched. The plot follows two groups of characters as they investigate the mystery of the Half Body Serial Killings: an older Mizuki and the returning Aiba, and a rookie Kuruto Ryuki and the new AI-Ball unit Tama.
As in the last game, you play as Special Agents Mizuki and Ryuki as they explore Tokyo for clues, witnesses, and suspects. The game is split into two parts: real-world investigation and Somnia, or dream realm exploring. The player manipulates the cursor to select objects and persons with whom he or she can conduct real-world investigations. Aiba and Tama have their own AI Sight features as well, including the resurrected Zoom, X-ray, and Thermo, which may now be toggled through a menu.
2022 is the year where most of the bigger, highly-anticipated games from last year ended up and although it is very much possible for the releases to be pushed back again, we should stay positive.
